We Need To Stop Thinking When And How To Take Action And Actually Take Action
Today we were home schooled so I missed My mentor meeting although she sent me her Email so I will coordinate with her tomorrow anyways I was just thinking that our math component rough draft is due in half a week that is crazy I mean I have had so much on my mind to even think about that although I think I will be doing a survey on one of the TED talks I watched a guy said that 95% of Americans are against animal cruelty and the other 5% is for animal cruelty although that is in the USA I will be comparing the results of Indonesia to America I do not think there will be much of a difference but that is my hypothesis

This was the best week in Exhibition so far I know this was only the third week although it feels like the third and fourth week combined we did a lot of work most of us had a meeting with Ms. Kesler and our mentors I am starting to like Exhibition a lot more than I did at the start everything is perfect this week I have been thinking about what my technology piece is gonna be and I am leaning towards making an app I am thinking I should give it a snappy title like save the animals and make it like Facebook or Instagram where people share the trouble that they have been through to help take action and promote that it will not be easy but you have got to stand by your word and face the obstacles the world has to give
Today I had my second meeting with my mentor honestly I definitely had fun I mean I got a lot of work done in actually a bit less than twenty minutes I now have an Idea about what to do for my lines of inquiry and my central idea and in this meeting Ms. Meena really got my mind working and got me to think of the different options such as, Circus animals and how their treated badly, Animal testing, Zoo sadism, and also animal farming and knowing where our food comes from now what I have to do is make each line of inquiry relate or connect to 1 key concept will probably do responsibility, Causation, Change, and perspective now what is a key concept in this case we have gotta write a question from regarding each and every one for example if I can remember correctly my question for perspective was what is the buyer/consumer thinking when they buy bacon,beef,or chicken and what are the people providing this food feel like at the moment they are slaughtering chickens or any other source of non-vegan food
So we made these hexagonal charts so basically we just write a bunch of keywords down and so we group them accordingly of course first we cut them up of course and then we would group them not by any given categories we would make up categories for example If I were to have 3 categories
#1 What is being done to animals #2 Do animals have the basic needs such as.... #3 What are some traits animals are being treated with and all of my keywords will go under those categories some will have more than others Today I have started to finalize my lines of Inquiry and central Idea I have done my first line of inquiry and my central Idea I have a clear vision of what they will be although I am not to sure how to put it all anyways let me share my central Idea and First line of inquiry (P.S they all have got to start with An Inquiry Into
CI: How does animal cruelty have an effect on the community? LOI #1: An inquiry into our responsibility into knowing where our food is coming from The key concept this relates to is responsibility and the topic within animal cruelty it relates to is farm animals and Industry and infrastructure so today I am not at school I have a stuffed nose and a slight fever anyways just to make up for what I missed I did a bit of research and nope not anything else related to exhibition
This is my reflection about the overall week to me the week went quite slowly although I think that the week was really well managed and for like the actual first week of exhibition where we chose our topics and we had a mentor meeting it was a good experience and definitely one I will remember I think a lifelong change exhibition will bring upon me is make me more responsible remembering to be prepared and on be at places at time doing this for 9 weeks will bring a change.
the bottom of the page Today we continued researching my teacher found a you tube play list regarding all of our issues there's the link at the bottom of the page anyways other that researching we took notes until the legendary recess came about at 9:20 am although we did not do much due to a thing called literacy week ending tomorrow it is basically where we do a bunch of actives regarding literacy. Click here for a playlist of videos connected to my issue for Exhibition. This link is form my class blog
Today I had my first mentor meeting today it was really cool I really got know my mentor we made our essential agreement an essential agreement is basically a bunch of rules that you pledge to follow so far we only have 3 things although we have clarified that if we want to add any along the way or discover something new anyways here are my 3 things I chose;
#1 Always stay on track #2 Always try new things even if you are not 100% sure about it #3 Be prepared for meetings Today our mentors were chosen. What is a mentor? A mentor is a person that will guide you give you pointers about where you are headed and advice specifically about you acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses. My mentor is a teacher in year 2 or grade 1 and she is coincidentally my brothers teacher, anyways I am really excited to work with her and get to know her better. And today we scheduled our first meeting witch is tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2:20 pm
